Yes that’s right, a FREE Live Demonstration!
For local Lee & Collier area
Community clubhouses, place of business, model homes, showrooms, church, whatever the case maybe. You pay for all materials and I’ll supply the labor for up to 50 sq/ft of wall area.
FREE!
So if you have an accent wall or maybe a whole room you would like to have completed with a professional quality finish gives us a call and let’s discuss the possibilities.
Of course there’s a limit because if there wasn’t I would be broke in a week and have more work than I could possibly handle
This is limited to a maximum of 50 sq/ft of wall area only and would have to be no more than a 4 hour demonstration in a 2 day period (max. 2 hours per day) or a simple one day 2 hour demo. is what most will do. It would have to be a combined effort to promote such an event to the public that would require 20 rsvp’s before the event would be considered a success. Through the discovery of email lists and just general press releases have already proven to work for this kind of an event especially when including an announcement in your current ad campaign.
This should be especially interesting to realtors, interior designers, builders, and yes even home owners who can benefit from this by inviting neighbors friends and even family to watch true artisans at work and having the benefit of viewing samples as well as getting that accent wall done for FREE with one a one room make over.
For larger areas there is discounted pricing should the project require a series of FREE demonstrations.
Area businesses would benefit from this repeat demos because it would draw a repeat crowd to watch the progress and it is sure to draw a crowd when it’s included in your advertising
So pick a wall and give us a call it’s a win win situation

In these economic times you must be creative so why not try something daring and that works!

Artist Arthur Morehead of Art-Faux Designs & Painting Inc. ®
To hold 2nd Seminar at The International Design Center at Estero,
Due to the great response that we had at the May slide show presentation on faux finishing and decorative art, we were invited back for a 2nd showing on Saturday June 13th at 2:00pm
With many samples to view and a slide show presentation showing the different techniques and styles of decorative painting, we had to have a 2nd event for those who missed the first one, A Q & A segment will be held to help answer the questions that come to mind to many of the interior designers, builders and homeowners who will attend. Through the power of networking and as a member of The N.A.P.L.E.S. Group is what made these events possible, and with the assistance of PJ Hoover of Fauxtastic Dreamscapes is the reason of the success.
An artist most of his life and in the painting business for over 30 years Arthur Morehead is an expert in his field and will explain the importance of substrate preparation and the difference of hiring a professional. With a network of other top professionals in the area you will realize the value of Art-Faux Designs professional resources which just adds to the value of their services.
Don’t miss this opportunity to talk to an expert who has over 20 years of business resources since settling in Naples in 1987 and experience that true one stop shop atmosphere that most are looking for in their new or existing home decorating projects.
We are also starting to set up a few summer classes but we need your input and interest. Sign up for our class newsletter and you will get a survey on what kind of classes you would like to see. Some of these will compliment the new “How to Faux” ” Amazing Accents” DVD series and we will discount a schedule class to reflect the purchase of our “Amazing Accent” series
Color Value….
As a professional artist I have studied color just as much as I have perspective, if not more, and this is going to be one of the first classes that I will teach as a prequisite to most of my carriculum. For beginning artists who are wanting to study some basics of color theory or any artists who want to help in designing some the classes that I am setting up please sign up for my class interest page where you will soon get a survey to let me know what you as an artist would like to see in a class atmosphere. Below is an article that I am in the middle of for a website that was designed to help homeowners and others to get more involved and help one another.
I would like to thank Phillip of HomePros.com who made this available so I can contribute to this site and help on some “Faux finishing ideas”. My first post here is going to cover a little on color theory…..yeah, I know, I know it’s a subject that a lot of you DIYer’s don’t like to talk about because it’s a “study thing” BUT it is a very important part of any art form so I want to cover an important and probably the first thing that should be covered before you attempt to actually mix and match your own colors when it come to decorative painting. Of course the first basics of color are the colors themselves which are the three primary colors which are Red, Yellow, and Blue. What most people don’t know or remember from their first year in school as a child, was we were taught these basics. Every color that we see with the human eye comes from these three colors. Now I know there are printer makers and others out there that are shaking their heads and want to jump in here and talk about magenta, cyan but let’s not confuse this from the jump and stay focused on this much of it for now. Every color in the universe can be mixed from these 3 colors and derivatives thereof. The secondary colors are mixed from the three primary which are, red + yellow = orange. Red + blue = violet/purple. Yellow + blue = green. So, these 6 colors I like to think of as all being the main colors. The tertiary or triad colors are of course the 3 rd color on the color wheel which is a mixture of the secondary color in a higher or lower percentage of the primary color. That being said I wanted to touch on the subject of color value tonight and just hit you with a basic entry on this subject because it is allot to take in if your new to this…..
To continue this I am going to jump to color value which is one of the most important aspects to color, some will argue this fact as to saying that its intensity but to me it’s a matter of opinion and preference. I had to delve a little in the basics of the color wheel before I got into the “color value” In my “How To Faux” video “Amazing Accents” series that I am adding to all the time, I am bringing a basic knowledge to the industry that seems to be lacking amongst allot of people out there who are doing the decorative painting and don’t understand how they got to or why they got to the colors that they are actually mixing and working with, which is why they cannot touch up their own work or anybody else’s. Anyone who is inept in this that is reading this knows exactly what I am talking about. So with my DVD series I will explain the basics while teaching an actual finish at the same time in real time on actual job situations. This a hard task to accomplish because of all the interruptions and editing that it takes to put one of these together I really don’t have to do this but because of my passion for the art and the decline in the market. I just want to bring the industry back up to where it once was and try to educate the ones who need the education but just can’t afford to get it at this point because of the economy. So with that being said, are you ready? If you purchase my DVD at http://www.artfauxworld.com/ModShop/ShowCategory this will help with understanding what I am going to be talking about. This is my “Fantasy Marble” technique which is a simple way, with a little practice, to achieve a realistic marble just by using one color. I haven’t seen an instructional DVD out there yet that explains color value yet and you MUST understand structure, composition and color value before you start jumping right off the bat into 2 and 3 color marbles without knowing what the colors will do if they are over mixed or over blended and you end up with a muddy mess that looks like it belongs in front of a barber shop. It’s things like this that are making it very hard for our market because it scares future clients away and when you combine that with a bad economy, It makes even harder on all of us. I will end this segment with my suggestion of getting my instructional to help better understand these entries and hope you all will keep checking back here as I add more.
Saturday May 16th was the first in a series of seminars that I am doing to bring awareness to our industry at The International Design Center at Estero
I would like to thank PJ Hoover of Fauxtastics Deamscapes for her help with my seminar that I had yesterday.
With her help it was a huge success and 90% of the people who showed were impressed by the fact that I wasn’t only there for myself but I was there for everyone who is in my network and made mentioned of Bobby Pesare of Timeless World Design
I explained to everyone of how we all socialize with one another and the camaraderie that has developed over the last couple of years. As a result out of the 20 people who attended 16 signed up for my newsletter AND I was able to send Donna Phelps of the Sarasota School of Decorative Arts and Architectural Finishes a new student and gained another member for our newly formed chapter of the IDAL.
I also mentioned how Gary Lord of Prismatic Painting Studio in Ohio was and is the innovator of bringing foil finishes into our market because there seemed to be allot of interest in the foils
A couple of them even bought both of my new How To Faux Amazing Accents DVD’s that I had out just for display, thanks again PJ!
I had one person comment to me that “boy, you really ARE an expert and a professional” and in response I told her ” No Ma’m , I wouldn’t necessarily call myself an expert because I am always learning like everyone else, BUT yes, I am a professional and to me networking with some of the best artists from around the state, the country, and the world, is a way we can give our clients what they desire. If there is something a client wants that I can’t provide I am going to recommend one of us that can get the client what they want. As a matter of fact I told Bobby who to contact in Orlando about Buon Fresco and I have already recommended PJ a couple of clients for the type of mural work that she does and I don’t.
