With all the things that I have been through this past year and all the hard work it has taken to just be able to survive in this shaken economy I knew I had to post something and let people know of what I am thankful for this year. Even though we have had to tighten up on many things and even had to do without on even more, the wife was still able to put together an excellent turkey dinner on a shoe string budget and as I sit here with a full belly for which I am very thankful for.  I am also very thankful for the friends and family who were there for me on the passing of my grandfather back in March who I miss very much, he was 96…..I really didn’t know where to start until I checked my email and saw a Face Book notice that someone had posted a “Cause” on my wall and when I saw this music video only then, did it really dawn on me what I am truly thankful for.

I think this pretty much sums it up for me as to what I am thankful for and despite the differences us Americans have with one another in one of the most difficult times in our history I think we ALL would agree on one thing………

If I Die Before You Wake………Dustin Evans

Weather we as Americans agree or disagree on even if this war should have even taken place in the first place is really irrelevant at this stage of the game and weather I believe personally if it is wrong or right doesn’t really matter either, what I think DOES matter is that we support our young men and women putting their lives on the line who can’t be with their own families tonight and send them our prayers.

I hope I have learned enough in the past year about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to make it possible for at least 1 service man or woman to see my post and to let them know that I really do wish them well and hope they make it home safe and to tell them

THANK YOU! and GOD BLESS!

Now that I am finally catching up on some much needed rest I will be trying to catch up on some much needed posts. I have fallen behind because of falling asleep at my laptop while trying to write my usual posts because my refusal to believe that human beings need any sleep at all.  I should be back to my old self again very soon and all my regular style of content will be back with it. Weather that’s a good thing or not is a matter of opinion because I have had a few emails sent to me in favor of me giving up on writing all together lol.

I am writing this post to bring attention to a couple of young artists that were in the recent Sean Crosby class that was

hosted  in Naples Florida by Art-Faux Designs Inc.

With the help of many who I have acknowledged in a previous post these two young adults are going to be

ones to watch very closely in the art world.

John “RJ” Valdez a 20 year old young man that did an exceptional job in class on his mural with the guidance of  Sean Crosby has a very bright future ahead of him.

With the encouragement of his father James Pascale of JJ Staten Homes it was truly an inspiration class for everyone because of the support that James shows for his sons  education. It seems that we don’t see enough of this kind of support for our young adults in today’s world due to  fast pace of technology that keeps pulling our young further away from traditional ways of art, which one of my goals is to bring more fresh new faces  into the world of the decorative arts.

One of the reasons I have worked so hard to get one of the top instructors in the country ( Sean Crosby) to Southwest Florida was to show him how much advanced education is needed here so as to introduce the younger generation into our market. We are not getting any younger and I would really hate to see the art of decorative painting come to an end, just as the fine art of sign painting or calligraphy has, even pin striping is a dying art and I believe with enough interest and dedication from area businesses and artists we can revamp the arts that have seemed to have died out and together can be brought back by our young

I really don’t have enough room on this blog to post all of Arjaes work but I have picked a couple of pieces he has done in the past and thought for someone who has an ability to do something such as this with no formal training he deserves to be recognized. So here is a couple of works of his that I shows a personal style and technique that only he could have which I like to call an artists individuality.

Hello everyone

I have run a little behind with my posting because it has been a very busy November and a very long year for me with the new studio delays, self educating myself on internet marketing, videography, eBooks, Blogging, SEO optimizing, monthly seminars,  public relations, networking on and offline, client meetings, working, the Sean Crosby’s classes, and in combination with only a couple of hours of sleep every night and I DO mean EVERY night the lack of sleep for the past year left me in such a numb state of mind that my friends, colleagues and even my wife didnt even know me any longer and I was virtually walking around like a zombie.

I think what really put the icing on the cake and sent me into oblivion was the last minute change in venue 6 days before Sean’s class with no other back up. If it were not for the delays in the permitting department and owner and contractor communication when I signed the lease back in July which is when I scheduled the class this would not have happened but it is what it is and I can only hope I didn’t let anyone down and everyone had a great time. The class was a great success due to the fact that  many people  helped pull it together at the last minute when I was ready to cancel it, and I wish to acknowledge everyone who had a hand in making this happen and they are Florian, Del Rodgers, Lin Lam of Beautifaux, and especially PJ Hoover of Fauxtastic Dreamscapes along with her husband Matt Hoover who hosted Sean in their home and made him feel like family while I was meandering mindlessly  because of over exhaustion that I didn’t even realize how obviously it showed until the week of the class.  PJ Hoover once again took the proverbial bull by the horns and made the class a success with her hard work.

Thank you all for the success that this has turned out to be, Now if you all dont mind I am going back to sleep I have a years worth of rest to catch up on…….

Peace!

Sad but true, Our economy is really in a bad way and is the worse I have seen in my 49 years that I have been on this planet.
Being an artist as long as I have, as well as being in the painting business for over 30 years, I always thought that this was enough to have a good quality of life, but the way things have changed so dramatically in the last few years I have found that this isn’t so any longer and it has forced me to look for other avenues of income in order to make ends meet.
So that is what my entry here is about and I hope everyone looks at this with an open mind because after a years worth of research and the hundreds of dollars I have spent getting to this point I can only hope that who ever reads this will at least get something from it and realize that
you have to change with the times otherwise you are going to be left so far behind
that you will never be able to find your way back to the quality of life that you once had a few years ago.

This may sound like a “Marketing Letter” but in reality it isn’t because if you follow my blog at Art-Faux.com you will see that I am the kind of person who believes in helping others in finding solutions to problems when it come to their art and business and I also help others get exposure for their obvious talents no matter the choice of art form.

I believe just living life alone is an art form any more because of the many things we are now facing on a daily basis from searching for work to creatively stretching the groceries as far as we can to make it through the week, and after a couple of years of dealing with this myself I have grown tired of it and have reached to other ways of adding income to my bottom line.
In my research I have discovered that the internet is doing unbelievably well with internet marketing as well as some Multi Level Marketing (MLM) businesses and I have chosen to pursue these avenues and found there is opportunity with these business models and have actually joined a couple MLM’s myself, but the problem was that you had to put a lot of time into them which would take away from my main business, until I discovered a system that has a unique way of marketing FOR you and will bring people TO you instead of you having to pursue them, once you have everything in place.
It actually teaches you everything you need to know about internet marketing and making money online while your making money.
Within the first week of signing up for this I had generated more leads for my primary MLM business than I have in 2 months because

these leads are actually from people who are looking for the very same kind of marketing system as I was.
The MLM business I got involved with a few months ago is dealing with Silver and Gold Collectibles and has rocketed with people wanting to be part of it and has now just launched in Canada as well and in combination with the marketing system I have just told you about that you can use for any MLM business also generates streams of income through affiliate’s associated with the system.

I don’t want everybody to think that I am no longer in the painting business because art is my passion

and I will never stop painting regardless of what the current administration has in store for us but I am just trying to tell everyone that you really should look into if not this opportunity you may consider others it really doesn’t matter to me. I just thought that this information could help put you in the right direction. I have already done all the research on different MLM companies, marketing ploys, which has cost me hundreds if not thousands of dollars because of all the trial and errors I have been through in the past year and I am using this system personally and will always be here to help along the way if you decide to join me. This will save you a huge amount of time and money by taking my advice and giving this a try if your looking for some great additional income from home because I have already taken the risk and have found this to work and it doesnt cost a ton of money to get started.

With this I will close this entry and am providing a link to my marketing system that you can try out for $1.00 for 14 days and can cancel at anytime

Finally after months of waiting and planning we are finally through the week long class with muralist Sean Crosby.

My only regrets would be that I wish it were two weeks instead of one. Sean was definitely on top of his teaching skills even after being out of the loop for awhile and as a matter of fact I thought he was even better than ever! Everyone’s  mural turned out fantastic and there was a  young man and young lady that joined our ranks as muralists and artists at the ages of 20 years old. I am very proud of the both of them and am happy I was able to be a part of it because as you all know one of my main objectives of my new studio in Bonita Springs Florida is to introduce more young adults to the world of decorative art to keep this beautiful art form alive and well for the future generations to come.

I will do a separate  post on each of them so they can have their own individual review so check back for the updates or just sign up for my newsletter.

I would like to thank Sean Crosby for coming to Naples Florida to teach this class even though there were a few problems with the venue. Back in July when I signed my life away for an August 1st  start date for the new studio. I was told the unit would be ready by November 1st. Well as I was watching the progress of my nightmare develop before my very eyes because of the permitting delays instead of canceling the class I moved forward by securing a secondary venue “just in case” because there were people depending on me to make this happen. If I tell someone I can do something I make it happen ….period…..I have always been a man of my word and I never have to make promises because my word is …….well…..my word.

After securing the 2nd venue the owner was to put up the correct lighting I needed for the class and about a week before the class the owner tells me that he can not put up the lighting because of a tax bill and there was going to have to be a fire inspection  by the county as well and with such short notice he basically slipped the rug out from under me
